Moel Gyw from Llanarmon-yn-lal

15 August 2021

No dogs

Do not walk if you are feeling unwell. Carry your own hand sanitiser. In case of an emergency ensure you have with you a face mask and first aid pack.
Inevitably, the route will go through gates and over stiles that other people will have touched. It may have narrow sections that mean you will be passing close to other people.

This walk takes in three of the lesser known summits of the Clwydian range – Moel Gyw, Moel Llanfair and Moel y Plas.

There are good paths throughout, including quieter trails and part of Offa’s Dyke path, centred around the village of Llanarmon-yn-lal.

The route is quite strenuous in places, but hopefully excellent views will be enjoyed from the ridge in good weather.

The village (and the community pub!) are about one km from the end of the walk for optional refreshments.
