Mid-week Walk with Lunch from the Horse and Jockey Grindley Brook

An opportunity for a social mid-week walk with lunch from the Horse and Jockey, Grindley Brook

Wednesday 15 February 2023

2 dogs allowed

Do not walk if you are feeling unwell. Carry your own hand sanitiser. In case of an emergency ensure you have with you a face mask and first aid pack.
Inevitably, the route will go through gates and over stiles that other people will have touched. It may have narrow sections that mean you will be passing close to other people.

The walk begins at the Horse and Jockey Inn and takes us W along the Llwybr Maelor Way to Llethr Mill. We leave this path and travel N over open farmland past Agden Hall to join the Bishop Bennet Way. Then we walk NW towards the village of Tushingham. The delightful church of Old St. Chads, which has been a place of worship since 1349, is on our path. We re-join the Bishop Bennet Way and travel S past Moorhead Farm to the Llangollen Canal path at Willeymoor Lock. This path leads us back to the Horse and Jockey Inn where we will have lunch.

Can those walkers who want to stay for lunch let the walk leader know by 12th February?
Can members who just want to join us for lunch also let the walk leader know by 12th February?
We aim to have lunch at 12.45 pm.
This pub is dog friendly
