Covid-19

Do not walk if you are feeling unwell. Carry your own hand sanitiser. In case of an emergency ensure you have with you a face mask and first aid pack.
Inevitably, the route will go through gates and over stiles that other people will have touched. It may have narrow sections that mean you will be passing close to other people.

The walk begins taking us down a path alongside the old primary school and then along the edge of fields and up into Bodnook Wood. We pass through these woods and then on to the woods leading to Raw Head. Here the the lower path is taken which contours around the side of Raw Head and yet still affords great views over towards Wales. We then travel down hill to cross a short field and onto a country lane crossing over the A534 and on towards Bickerton. On reaching the church we turn left taking us near Gallantry Bank. We continue on country lanes and paths and through further woods and on towards Bulkeley Hill. Having crossed over the Sandstone Trail we then follow tracks making our way back through Bodnook Wood and onto Harthill.

This walk has been designed to allow for a leisurely coffee stop but not necessarily a lunch stop as people may have commitments due to it being Mothering Sunday.
