Covid-19

Do not walk if you are feeling unwell. Carry your own hand sanitiser. In case of an emergency ensure you have with you a face mask and first aid pack.
Inevitably, the route will go through gates and over stiles that other people will have touched. It may have narrow sections that mean you will be passing close to other people.

We start out SW from Nant Mill, climbing fields, leaving the wooded Clywedog valley. On reaching Fron-Dêg, we continue our climb NW over heather-clad grouse moor, past the remains of an historic lead mine, then head N to the summit of Esclusham Mountain. The route then descends NW down the moor before bending clockwise round a former limestone quarry, and across farms to reach the track leading SE back to the car park, following the track of a disused railway, through the Minera Lead Mines Country Park.
