Covid-19

Do not walk if you are feeling unwell. Carry your own hand sanitiser. In case of an emergency ensure you have with you a face mask and first aid pack.
Inevitably, the route will go through gates and over stiles that other people will have touched. It may have narrow sections that mean you will be passing close to other people.

This walk starts from the National Trust car park at Erddig. Our route heads south, firstly through Erddig Park, then over farmland towards Sontley. Now we head east towards Marchwiel, before passing west of the reservoir onwards to King’s Mills. The next section follows the Clywedog Trail along the river and through woods, until we reach Erddig Park again and head southwards to our starting point.

This is a fairly flat walk, with a few stiles. Time should remain after the walk for anyone wishing to visit the orchards, house and garden (house until 15:30, garden, restaurant until 17:00).

Please remember NT membership card for ‘free’ parking
