An easy, flat, woodland walk along the Duke’s Drive to Eaton Road. We follow the road to the pretty village of Eccleston and down to the ferry.
Our return journey follows the banks of the River Dee over open farmland land and water meadows to the outskirts of Chester.
There are fine views of the riverside properties on the opposite bank, the Groves and the bridges crossing the river.
Our route passes The Ship Inn in Handbridge where we may stop for a drink before returning to the car park.
